
Having received complaints of venomous snakes and banned reptiles on site, the city is investigating the opening of Reptilia zoo in London.
Reptilia zoo displays more than 250 species of reptiles, amphibians and spiders from around the world. The company also takes its animals to schools, retirement homes and day-care centres.
The exotic zoo, which opened recently at the former Westmount mall, has drawn the attention of bylaw enforcement after complaints were filed, city officials said. An animal rights group, Zoocheck, has raised its concerns to city hall, its director, Rob Laidlaw, said.
