Jason Wagner

Responsible Herpetoculture Expert (USA)

From the Northwest US and by age 6 Jason was already keeping lizards and started breeding Northern alligator lizards, garter snakes, and green anoles. He never stopped being fascinated by reptiles, and eventually he learned about Abronia in the early 90’s when some specimens came into the US. He kept and bred Abronia from 2003 on, for the next 17 years working with several species. He started importing small groups of CB Abronia graminea in 2006 and set up a longer term conservation project along with his Biologist partners in Veracruz, Roberto Mora and Juana Vargas. Their efforts in preserving habitat and educating the locals on all different types of reptiles, continues on today through their accredited UMA project which operates tours and hosts University and Secondary Institutions from Mexico – teaching about the local herpetofauna. https://www.facebook.com/Desarrollo-Comunitario-y-Vida-Silvestre-222941521379248/ .
