Responsible Herpetoculture Breeder (Bulgaria)My family has been breeding reptiles since 2012. We started with a pair of Chamaeleo calyptratus. In the first year we had 356 baby chameleons. Then we took two females of Panther chameleons – Furcifer pardalis (Ambilobe) and one male. Then we acquired equipment and furnished a room. We had 13 species of chameleons, including three species of dwarf chameleons. Some of them were not a pair and we could not breed them. One of them was Trioceros fuelleborni for whom we could not find a female. He lived for nine years, five of which with us. We have successfully bred the following chameleons’ species – Trioceros jacksonii xantholophus, Furcifer pardalis (Ambilobe, Tamatave, Nosy Be), Chamaeleo calyptratus, Rhampoleon brevicaudata. Other species of reptiles and amphibians that we bred are: Uromastyx ornata, Uromastyx thomasi, Pogona vitticeps, Epipedobates anthonyi, Nephrurus wheeleri cinctus.
