
Kaiqi Wu
Contributing Editor for ChinaKaiqi Wu (Kaiki), wildlife photographer, director of the Herptile documentary, and founder of one of China’s largest herpetology and terrarial science channels, “ilex’s fauna journal”. The channel has filmed documentaries on many species endemic to China for the first time, and is also the first Chinese channel to introduce the welfare needs of reptiles, with a total video playback of over 42 million times.
Kaiki has over 15 years of experience in herptile care and is an Expertise examiner of The German Society for Herpetology and Herpetoculture (DGHT e.V.). With the extensive habitat data collected during the filming of the documentary, Kaiki also carries out joint conservation projects with Chinese universities and zoos to protect native species and promote the concept of responsible keeping in China.
Kaiki is also the contributing editor of the Responsible Herpetoculture Journal. He is actively involved in promoting international academic and business cooperation by recruiting scientists and keepers from China to write articles, to raise awareness of China.
