Data on the Reproductive Biology and Temperature-dependent Patterns of Henkel’s Leaf-tailed Gecko, Uroplatus henkeli, at the BION Terrarium Center

Abstract. This work is dedicated to the study of the reproductive cycles of Henkel’s Leaf-tailed Gecko, Uroplatus henkeli, in controlled laboratory conditions with the goal of establishing this species
in the herpetoculture sphere for conservation purposes (Marushchak et al. 2020). Like the other representatives of the genus, U. henkeli is listed in Appendix II of CITES (“Convention” 2022) species that are not necessarily threatened with extinction at present but may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
