Thomas Marriott

Executive Director of the Responsible Herpetoculture Foundation (Profile)

Thomas is the Executive Director of the Responsible Herpetoculture Foundation and part of the Editorial Board for the Responsible Herpetoculture Journal. Working alongside other members of the board, he develops relationships with international authors to produce a bi-monthly journal. Thomas is also the Editor of the UK publication, Exotics Keeper Magazine which he has written, produced and distributed for three years, reaching thousands of readers each month.

Thomas has travelled four continents, finding and photographing reptiles and amphibians whilst also supporting various conservation initiatives. He manages all editorial, advertorial, production and development processes for EK Magazine and oversees these processes for the RHJ. His passion for herpetology is present in all his endeavours and his career has situated him in the centre of the herpetological and herpetocultural communities in the UK. By engaging with a wide range of institutions, individuals, organisations and consumers, he has a holistic knowledge of herpetoculture and its stakeholders and has used this to effectively market and popularise printed literature, events and initiatives to a vast number of reptile enthusiasts internationally. These skills are utilised in the growth strategies for the Responsible Herpetoculture Foundation.
