
The newly discovered tiny Tapir Valley tree frog (Tlalocohyla celeste) was found on a private nature reserve and may already be critically endangered. Scientists think the frog may be critically endangered. Its only known habitat is the 8-hectare (20-acre) wetland within the Tapir Valley Nature Reserve, which adjoins Tenorio Volcano National Park.
